Are you looking for some extra support to help your child reach their full potential in reading and writing?  I provide 1:1 lessons, curriculum guides and planning resources to parents of children aged 4- 12.

‘My son always spoke highly of Sian and enjoyed his time learning with her. He would come home and tell us how much fun he had, how kind Sian was, and that she put him at ease with his learning. This was a significant statement from him as teachers at his school regularly made him feel like he was going too slow, or was wasting their time.’

Hi! I'm Siân

I’m a qualified primary school teacher and mother to three children aged between 6 and 15. For the last 10 years, I have supported children and their families from all over the world with bespoke literacy lessons and a play-based approach to learning.

I’m on a mission to help make learning fun and engaging, so whether your child is in full-time school and needs a little extra support, or you have embarked on a homeschooling journey, I have the skills and experience to help you.

‘My son is dyslexic and so has found reading, writing and spelling skills during his early years. Sian’s professional, personal and caring approach meant that he trusted Sian and was comfortable learning with her. As a result, his confidence and abilities in reading, spelling and writing all improved markedly.’

‘Sian was like a warm hug as my family adjusted to life in Vienna. She was a wealth of information on all aspects of childhood – providing advice on Extra Curricular activities, educational facilities, and English-speaking resources for children in Vienna. She did this with such generosity of spirit with so much tenderness and support to my children and my family.’

'Sian embodies an infectious enthusiasm for Early Years and Primary education – which flows into every aspect of her life. Sian was often sought by other parents at the school our children attended to provide additional guidance and direction to assist children learning to read at home.'

Private Lessons

As a teacher, I know that most educators work tirelessly. But the unfortunate reality today is that schools are oversubscribed and low on support staff. High-quality teachers are leaving in droves, and support for additional needs can often take years.

That’s where I come in.

Whether you want to book individualised literacy support for your child or learn how to support your child from home, I can help.

Homeschool Support

As a parent, you are your child’s first teacher; you are the guiding light that knows your child better than anyone else.

But sometimes you just need the tools to succeed, which is where I come in.

Whether you are looking for 1:1 lessons or assistance with curriculum planning, I can help you navigate your homeschooling journey.

‘My year 6 daughter was identified as gifted and talented so the school entered her into the level 6 SATs exams for reading and SPaG. We turned to Sian to help guide us through the higher level papers. Her engaging, pressure-free approach helped my daughter gain confidence and pass the exams!'

Sian never hesitated to answer questions or make time to discuss and assist others whenever possible. Her generosity in time and her gentle manner made her someone that everyone in our community trusted and respected with their children’s struggles and needs.

'We decided to homeschool full-time after the lockdowns. Whilst I knew it was the right decision for our daughter, I was nervous about getting it wrong. Sian guided us through a literacy planning framework that not only saved me time, but helped me to feel confident.'

'Sian helped our daughter with reading, SPaG and literacy whilst she was studying for her year 6 SATs. Not only did Sian make these often dry subjects more engaging, but helped our daughter to achieve a high level in the exams. We recommended Sian to other parents at the time and would do so again in a heartbeat.'
